SUMMARY:Everything to Know About H20
DESCRIPTION:December 22\, 2018 January 7\, 2019 Daily Table Talks\, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. \n\n \n\nFloat Your Boat Or Not! \n\nDid you know there is a body of water in the Middle East that you can practically float on? The Dead Sea has a salinity of almost 34% making it one of the densest bodies of water in the world! We will simulate different water salinities and discover how salinity affects an objects ability to float or sink. \n\nUnder Pressure\n\nUsing a barometer\, you will discover how water pressure changes as we go deeper in water. The deeper you dive\, the more pressure there is. Hypothesize and experiment to see what happens to our marshmallow diver as it goes under extreme pressure. \n\nCall of the Siren \n\nWhy do things sounds differently in water than they do in air? Experiment with a hydrophone and hear how sound waves travel in different mediums. \n\nSticky Water\n\nIt's no trick\, it's science! See for yourself how we make water float.
