DESCRIPTION:CenterLink: The Community of LGBTQ Centers is an umbrella organization for LGBTQ Community Centers throughout the US\, Canada\, China and Australia. Denise Spivak\, Activist and CEO of CenterLink\, will be talking about the role LGBTQ centers play as cultural hubs for the community.  Many LGBTQ centers invest time\, staff\, space for art exhibitions\, book groups\, author chats\, musical events\, in addition to the health services that they are known for.  We'll chat about the historic role that centers play in LGBTQ culture in their communities.\n\nThe event\, free and open to the public and will be conducted via ZOOM.\n\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER\n\nUpon registering a link and password will be automatically emailed to you.\n\nAbout the speaker: \n\nDenise Spivak is the CEO of CenterLink   the association of LGBTQ community centers\, where she has spent the past nine years working with center leaders.\n\nDenise joined CenterLink after working in the private sector for over twenty years in both broadcasting and management.  She is a graduate of Gettysburg College where she received her B.A. in Psychology and holds a certification from BoardSource for nonprofit governance training.\n\nDenise was born and raised in the Washington\, D.C. area. After living in the mid-Atlantic for 30 years\, she and her wife moved for Florida where they currently reside.
