Big Five Safari at Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts

The Big Five Safari exhibition highlights the African game animals which hunters claimed were the most difficult to hunt on foot - the lion, the leopard, the elephant, the rhinoceros, and the African buffalo. Today, the Big Five are featured in tourist guides for African wildlife safaris and the animals are mostly captured on camera. At WMODA, we focus on ceramic interpretations of the Big Five by talented artists from Europe and South Africa.
