About SongFest:
Returning for the 2017–18 Season, Florida Grand Opera’s SongFest Series of recitals offers an opportunity for FGO patrons to engage with several themes that each of our mainstage operas touches upon. The FGO Studio Artists present four concerts exploring music written by the contemporaries, teachers, and pupils of the mainstage season composers (Donizetti, Strauss, Gluck, and Catan) approaching similar topics with a different point of view. This is an opportunity to explore the extensive art song catalogue while remaining focused on the mainstage offerings—and while discovering the music of composers who may be new to you!
