The book grew out of Von’s three years of classroom conversations and questions from 1,272 students — questions about HIV and STI transmission, testing, prevention, PrEP, relationships, stigma, sexual health, and many of the myths and misconceptions that continue to be passed along.

Von brings together professional knowledge, lived experience, humor, and plain language to create the kind of judgment-free conversations where people can ask the questions they may have been afraid — or embarrassed — to ask.
